FN Neuhofer Holz - Investing in the future

Any company that fails to further develop gets left behind. But there is no change of this happening to FN Neuhofer Holz, the internationally renowned provider of profile systems and accessories for floors, walls and ceilings, as the company is known for its innovative strength and high quality. In order to remain the industry leader, FN is constantly investing in the future.

Expansion of the FN logistics centre

"At the start of September 2010, we started the construction of a new 1,000 m² hall to expand our logistics," explains Franz Neuhofer jun. on recent building projects and investments.

"Thanks to new customer acquisitions and with that the largest order in the company's history, we have gladly been 'forced' to expand our logistics centre further," continues Neuhofer.

With the current capacities, it would have been impossible to implement the proposed project. The new hall will be constructed directly adjacent to the existing warehouse and will be ready for use from mid-November 2010.

At Neuhofer Holz, however, a long-term plan for the "new logistics centre" has already been developed to determine where greater investments will be made in order to create permanent space.

Investing in a new cutting machine

"Width cutting plays a key role in the treatment of solid wood, as optimising cutting helps to minimise costs, for FN and of course for our customers," comments Martin Neuhofer.

In order to achieve the best results in this area, FN is again investing in production, in particular in a cutting machine including mechanisation and crosscut saw (multi-blade circular saw) from Raimann/Weinig.

The rugged construction and massive printing system provide the basis for the best possible material feed and cutting results. By using special saw blades, it is possible to create glueable cuts when subdividing or trimming. The extraordinarily powerful circular saws allow even the most difficult materials to be processed. Even large thickness tolerances in the raw material (incoming goods) are no longer a problem.

Depending on the requirements and applications, automatically adjustable saw blades ensure efficient use of the raw material and help to increase the wood yield, to decrease the costs and ultimately to maximise returns. Scrap wood can be created or avoided depending on the material requirements through optimum cutting management.

"We will receive the machine in mid-December 2010 and should be ready to start production in January 2011," explains Martin Neuhofer.

New website including online configuration

In just a few clicks, users of the new www.fnprofile.com homepage can view comprehensive information and search for products or information on the company Neuhofer more easily than before.

The product summary and the target group menu make it much easier and quicker to access the clearly structured product descriptions. Special highlights include assembly videos for the respective products.

New, unique and special features include the online configurators, which have been specifically developed for "FN digiprint" and "FN deco-shelf". These configurators allow users to take control of the design of their profiles, floor profiles and panels. Users can create their own designs directly from their computer, leaving the production to FN. Quickly, individually and precisely according to their specifications, with our tried and trusted quality.

With the "FN deco-shelf" configurator, you can also plan a new shelf system and, once fitted with various accessories, display your chosen design in a preview. At the end you will receive a parts list in PDF format, which allows you to purchase or order the items that are required from your local retailer.

"We can also work together with our customers to develop a configurator to suit their requirements (see above) using their logo as well as their own article numbers and prices," suggests Franz Neuhofer jun.

This user-friendly site also includes several practical links for recommending the site in online networks such as Twitter or Facebook.
