VEH quality mark - successfully renewed
As a planing mill subject to quality monitoring, FN Neuhofer Holz has been a member of the Association of the European Planing Mill Industry (VEH) since 1st January 2000.
At the beginning of 2011, Neuhofer Holz was pleased to discover that it had passed the verification of the strict VEH quality guidelines again and could therefore continue to use the VEH certification mark.
This is apparent in a precise definition of qualitative criteria of planed goods
with regard to dryness, surface, knottiness, etc. Planing mills are assessed and
certified on the basis of these guidelines throughout Europe every year.
FSC certificate and PEFC certificate - renewed once again until 2013
The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international umbrella organisation for the promotion of environmentally compatible, socially acceptable and financially sustainable forestry. Principles and criteria have been established for sustainable forestry and the timber industry to this end. It is acknowledged that certified companies, such as Neuhofer Holz, cultivate their forests in accordance with the ecological, social and economic criteria defined by FSC or process or sell wood or wood products from certified forests as great store is set by sustainability at Neuhofer Holz.
Distinction with the PEFC certification (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) enables consumers to make a conscious decision to purchase products originating from responsible forestry. The certification guarantees that the forests from which the certified wood originates are cultivated in an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable manner in accordance with PEFC standards. This confirms the active contribution of FN Neuhofer Holz to the ecological quality of its products and thus to nature conservation.
