FN Neuhofer

FACTS

  • Wood: If you filled a football pitch 3 m high with wood on 01.01., it would be empty on 31.12.

MDF: With MDF, it would be about twice the amount, i.e. as high as if 3 adults and 1 child were standing on top of each other.

Plastic: With the annual amount of plastic, you could very well fill 2 Olympic sports pools.

Aluminium: The processed aluminium would reach the dome of the Salzburg Cathedral as a column with a diameter of almost 1 m.

Felt: Up to 21 million 0.5 litre PET bottles are recycled for the amount of felt used annually.

  • Decorative foil: The decorative foil processed annually, whether produced by gravure printing or digitally printed, would completely cover a total of 630 football fields.

Veneer: The amount of veneer is somewhat less, "only" 13 football fields, but this still corresponds to a whole tree with a diameter of 1.3 m and a height of 20 m, finely cut into 0.35 mm slices.

White Lacquer: With the total amount, we could fill about 840 bathtubs.

  • The aforementioned materials are processed into a total of approx. 20,000 different articles, of which approx. 6,000 are in stock for short-term orders.

Our production capacity is sufficient to lay skirting boards and profiles 5x around the world in one year.

This includes our entire FN Neuhofer range for floors, walls and ceilings.

  • These approx. 6,000 articles in stock are picked and prepared for dispatch for our customers on approx. 10,500 storage spaces with more than 6 million manual operations per year.

Approx. 2500 trucks arrive with raw materials (MDF, solid wood, paper, veneer, aluminium, lacquers and much more) in a year.

Approx. 2200 trucks leave the factory with finished products in a year. These are skirting boards, floor profiles, acoustic panels, wall panelling, accessories and much more.

This corresponds to a length of just under 85 km, all the trucks lined up, i.e. from Zell am Moos to the end of the mesosphere.

  • We are proud to be able to cover a good part of our energy needs with self-produced electricity.

A photovoltaic system on the roofs of the new office building and the new production halls produces more than 1 MW of electricity per year.

Two small hydroelectric power plants on the Vöckla river flowing past support the efforts to become more self-sufficient.

The wood waste produced is used to heat all the buildings, and this also serves as an energy supplier for some businesses in the surrounding area.

  • Our employees naturally work at full steam to make the things mentioned in points 1-5 possible.

For this purpose, 14,000 coffee tabs are processed into energy dispensers and refined with 625 litres of milk every year.

In this way, they manage to climb 1 million steps in the office building over the course of the year, which is equivalent to climbing 182,000 metres in altitude, i.e. 20 times Mount Everest, but from sea level.

For birthdays, all office employees bring cakes, pretzels or other treats, which delights us every second day on average.
